What you need:
Time required:
40 minutes.
Step 1. Clean & Scuff Area
After cleaning the affected area with wax and grease remover, scuff the area and surrounding 24 inches with your scuff pad.
Step 2. Sand Area
Sand out scratches using 220-grit sandpaper, and remove dust with your cleaning towel.
Step 3. Prime Area
Apply two or three light coats of primer.
Step 4. Apply Groundcoat
Wait 10-15 minutes for the primer to dry, then apply our factory-matched groundcoat. The best method for getting it to blend in is to apply many light coats by flicking your wrist, going far beyond the damaged area.
Step 5. Apply Midcoat
Wait 5 minutes for the groundcoat to dry, then apply our factory-matched midcoat. Be sure to cover up the brighter ground coat, using horizontal and vertical motions to avoid creating stripes.
Step 6. Apply Clear Coat
Wait 5-10 minutes for the midcoat to dry, then apply two coats of clearcoat. Be sure to cover up the areas that you painted in the previous two steps.
Step 7. Cleanup
Wait 10 minutes for the clearcoat to dry, remove any masking, and you are ready to go.
