In this article we are going to show you how to repair scratches and cracks in your dashboard. The process takes about 30 minutes, and is simple enough that anyone can do it.

What you need:

• Factory-matched leather dye
• Leather cleaner
• Scuff pad
• Superglue
• Superglue activator
• Heat gun (optional)

Apply superglue to the crack or scratch, and smooth it with a pallete or plastic knife. Use superglue activator to instantly harden the glue.

Sand the glue flat with 220-grit sandpaper.

Clean the area thoroughly.

Apply multiple light coats of factory-matched plastic dye. A heat gun from a distance of about 12 inches accelerates drying times.

You can use this same process to repair any plastic piece, including door panels, consoles, and panels in your trunk or cargo area.
