Here's a technique for touching up deep paint scratches.

Step 1. Fill Scratches
First apply the scratch filling putty.
Step 2. Remove Excess Putty
The excess putty can be removed using the scratch leveler.
Apply a small amount to the cloth and gently wipe over the repair area; the scratch leveler removes the extra putty while leaving the scratches filled.
Step 3. Paint
