In this article we are going to show you how to remove "orange peel" texture from clear coat using 2000 grit sandpaper and an electric polisher.

What you need:

Time required:

15 - 45 minutes.


Step 1. Mask Area

Use masking tape to protect the edges of the non-repair area from sanding.

Step 2. Wet Sand Area

Wet the 200 grit sandpaper. Sand in a circular motion using even pressure. Wipe with the microfiber towel occasionally to check progress. Continue until you achieve a dull finish over the entire area.

Step 3. Polish

Apply the Eazy Compound to a small area. Use the polisher turned off to spread the compound over the area. Set the polisher to the lowest setting. Keep the polisher level, using only the center of the pad. Don't dwell on any area for more than 3 seconds as this can burn the paint and/or cut into the surface.

Step 4. Cleanup

Wipe the area clean with a microfiber towel
