Preparing the Work Area

When beginning any project using ScratchWizard™ kits and products, it is important to properly prepare your work area. The first step is to set up a dry and clean work space with adequate lighting and ventilation. If proper ventilation is difficult to access, at the very least use a house fan to blow the dust, paint, and chemical fumes away from the work space. If possible, the temperature of the work area should be kept at room temperature or at about 68º. Keep in mind that if you are working in cooler conditions, it may take longer for the paint to dry; if the conditions are very warm, the paint will dry at a faster rate. Make sure to properly clean the repair surface before beginning your project. Use a microfiber towel to wipe the surface clean of dust, dirt, and any other debris or foreign objects. After the surface is free of debris, apply wax and grease remover to a microfiber towel and thoroughly wipe down the repair surface. Now you are ready to begin your project!
